L.E.G. Slurp was Leon's previous musical persona. This project introduced the world to the "Samchillian Hero". In 1999 he produced a CD, "Foolifingo!" (Sergeant Dan's) in which he displayed his singing/songwriting talents as well as blazing samchillian solos, accompanied generally only by machines. The music is an eclectic mix of funk, electronics, heartwarming ballads, and a few scathing parodies, featuring Mr. Slurp's singing and his patented keyboard invention, the Samchillian Tip Tip Tip Cheeepeeeee. Live performances have featured the efforts of the backup dadaistic singer/dancers known as the V|Nex, as well as L.E.G. Slurp's own unusual apparel: a poncho made from a shower curtain, a papier machÈ horsehead, and the infamous flashing "Box Hat".
